Represented by CAA Speakers, Tanya has been a keynote speaker, moderator, and facilitator at conferences around the world.

Tanya's first major speaking engagements during and after the Beijing Women's Conference in 1995 were related to the safety and rights of women and children. Since then, she has become a leading expert on the transformative power of storytelling, strategies for a violence-free future, and art as a tool for civic engagement.

The Wooster Group

I worked with The Wooster Group on the development and production of House/Lights, which was named by the New York Times in 2018 as one of the 25 best shows of the last 25 years. House/Lights toured 16 cities around the world and received an Obie Award for Best Production. I’ve also produced a benefit for The Wooster Group and now serve on its board.

The Builders Association

I worked with Marianne Weems and her company The Builders Association on Alladeen and Super Vision, both of which premiered at the Brooklyn Academy of Music and toured to a combined total of 42 cities. Alladeen received an Obie Award for Outstanding Production, and I was nominated by the Evening Standard UK for Best Actress in a Visiting Production.
